University student life

University student life is interesting and various.

Educational and recreational activities are managed by rector of the University and supervised by the head of educational department.  The organization responsible for organizing entertainment and additional courses for students at the University is Leisure activity center.

On the basis of the University of Service there are two social units – Student and post-graduate council of VRSUS and Autonomous non-profit organization «MOST» (Youth Organization of Students in Togliatti).

Leisure activity center

Leisure activity center of VRSUS is a team of professionals who organize active and interesting leisure time for students.

 

Activity directions:

1. Culture and leisure activities

2. Information service for students – support and development of youth mass media  

3. Sport and tourism – promoting healthy life style, preventing asocial behavior

4. Civil and patriotic activity, including student social security

5. Methodology and publishing activity

6. Educational and project activity

7. Employment assistance

Leisure activity center of VRSUS organizes more than 130 student events annually.  Unforgettable «Student initiation», bright «Student Day», art festival «Student Spring», featuring a variety of genres, and grand «Graduation party» make student life exciting and eventful.

VRSUS Sport activities are held; among them «Funny races», «VRSUS Olympics», «Women football» and many others.  Civil and patriotic activities enable students of the whole city due to their actuality: actions against smoking and AIDS, «Give joy to children», etc.  

Leisure activity center of VRSUS and «MOST» are the only organizations in Togliatti, which form common information space on a city level.

Students develop their own mass media at the University: radio «Service FM», «TV service», Internet-edition www.tolgas.ru and www.studmost.ru and, of course, our University newspaper. On the basis of VRSUS we have 2 editions – newspaper edited by students and University staff - «Service Plus» and city youth newspaper «Student Herald».

 

Also on the basis of Leisure activity center of VRSUS there are:

 - tourist club, which members go hiking, exploring best routes of Samara region and take first places in Russian competitions;

- student scientific society, which helps students to make researches, take part in different educational seminars, realize their scientific projects, win grants;

- belly-dance studio «Arabella» – administrator Kafidova Yana;

      

 

- choreographic group «New format» - administrator Bibik Tatyana; 

 

- dance school Modern Jazz Dance of VRSUS «Shake Style» – administrator Dudina Natalya;

- hip-hop team of VRSUS «Funky Fresh» - administrator A. Biktasheva, E. Tuten’kova;

 

- VRSUS сhoreographic team «Inkognito» - administrator Ganina Alena;

- VRSUS stand–up show team – administrator Shaitanov Evgeniy.
