According to article 6 of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation No. 125-F3 "About the Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education" (editions on 13.02.2009), in the Russian Federation are established the following levels of higher education:

the higher education confirmed by assignment to the person, successfully passed total certification, qualifications (degree) "bachelor" - term of training of 4 years;
the higher education confirmed by assignment to the person, successfully passed total certification, qualifications "expert" - training term not less than 5 years;
the higher education confirmed by assignment to the person, successfully passed total certification, qualifications (degree) "master" - term of training of 2 years.
