IE Students have an opportunity to be engaged in research work, to continue their preparation in a magistracy and postgraduate study of VRSUS.

Many IE graduates have protected the scientific researches on actual economic problems, and have received degrees of Candidates in Economic Sciences and have filled up the IE faculty staff.

IE Departments actively conduct research state budgetary and non-budgetary work where in the framework of many economic city and regional problems are solved. So, for example, experts of IE by the request of Tolyatti administration worked out the concept of consumer commodity market and services development in Tolyatti, economic expertise is carried out by the request of the Internal Affairs Department of Togliatti Central district.

Many IE students take part in the interuniversity Olympiad on Accounting and Auditing, Informatics, Economics, Management and Marketing, take prizes in the All-Russian competitions of degree projects and competitions among creative youth
