Science and Research Work

Students take an active part in research work of university. The main research themes are:

• History of hospitality industry development in Tolyatti

� Problems of socio-cultural sphere development in young industrial cities;

� Problems of tourist, hotel, restaurant and advertizing service development in Samara region.

Every year 30% of students make their reports at inter-university scientific and practical conferences of students, and also regularly take part in regional student's conferences and competitions.

Students’ science and research work has mainly applied character. They annually make out stands for a city holiday “Day of Tourism”, exhibition stands on museum picnic and regional competition of young designers "Arbuz".

ITST staff and students actively are engaged in research work.

The students of the institute take part in the interuniversity Olympic Games, the All-Russian and international conferences, competitions of creative youth on problems of socio-cultural service sphere and hospitality branches development.

The ITST is the organizer of the first city tourist exhibition fair. The ITST staff are active participants of various scientific and practical conferences including international ones, conduct research state budgetary work, participate in the work on federal grants. ITST associate professors Inna V. Buraya and Nikolay V. Korneyev are owners of the RF President grants.
